ASCEND​​ Women's Center

A nonprofit agency providing pregnancy support services in the Asheville area. The mission of ASCEND (formerly Mountain Area Pregnancy Services) is to partner with churches of Western North Carolina by caring for, counseling, and educating women and men regarding, or impacted by, an at risk pregnancy.

AFter-school bible club

Several of our members serve as leaders in After-school Bible Club in two of our local elementary schools.

Haywood Christian Ministries

HCM's purpose is to provide care in the name of Christ to persons in crisis, to be a clearing house for outreach concerns that are shared by the Christian Churches of Haywood County and to offer spiritual and material assistance to the extent that resources are available through the cooperating churches and volunteers. https://hcmnc.org/

Haywood Pathways Center

Guided by faith, love, and respect, Haywood Pathways provides food, shelter, and individualized supportive services to Haywood County residents.

Operation Christmas Child

Yearly, Providence members help provide simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse, partnering to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. Our Church participates in the program by combining resources and efforts to create the boxes, and also help in the distribution centers.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

We have all heard the ringing of Salvation Army bells during the Christmas season. It serves as a reminder of the great needs that many face during this time of the year. Providence Church promotes the work that the Salvation Army does to comfort those who find themselves in difficult situations, helping to spread joy by dedicating one day each season to ringing the bell outside a local retailer.

A small group of moms and their daughters help lead residents of Silver Bluff Village in worship, biweekly during the school year.
